What is the Best Suicide Method?

What is the Best Suicide Method?

by Kevin Caruso

So what is the best suicide method?

This is a question that I'm sure many people who are suicidal have contemplated?

But it is the wrong question.

The right question is, How do I stop the pain that I am feeling? Thinking about a suicide method is a symptom, most probably a symptom of depression. If you are suicidal you have a chemical imbalance in your brain, so it is impossible for you to think straight.

And when you are depressed, you have intense emotional pain. You want to end that pain, not your life.

Untreated depression is the number one cause for suicide.

So you should be thinking about what the best treatment for depression is, not what the best method for suicide is.

Remember, if you are thinking about suicide, you have a symptom of a mental illness.

Treat the illness.

You need to make appointments with a doctor and with a therapist so you can be assessed. Then you need to be treated.

Suicide is never the answer.

People who have other illnesses receive treatment for those illnesses. You need to do the same. Just because it is a mental illness does not mean that you do not get treatment.

There is a social stigma associated with mental illness. That is why many people do not get treatment. But remember that the social stigma is all about ignorance and intolerance. Do not let ignorant and intolerant people hold you back from getting the treatment that you need.

If you or someone you know is suicidal, please go to the Home Page of this website for immediate help.

Thank you.

I love you.

Take care,
