July 15, 2004 -- Suicide is now the leading cause of death in the Israeli Army.
A report by the Rehabilitation Division in the Ministry of Defense of Israel indicates that 43 soldiers died by suicide in 2003, up from 31 in 2002.
This is the first time that suicide was the leading cause of death in the military.
