Teen Suicide Notes in Prevention Effort

New Hampshire Lawmakers are working to develop a new suicide prevention education policy, and as part of their research are reviewing suicide notes written by teens who died by suicide.
Suicide notes are written by 20 to 30 percent of teens who die by suicide in the U.S., but
60 percent of teens who die by suicide in New Hampshire leave notes.
The House Health Education Review Committee is studying the notes, and all available additional information, as part of bill that was signed last month by Governor Craig Benson. The new law includes a broad review of the statewide plan for suicide prevention.
Twenty-one New Hampshire youths aged 15 to 24 die by suicide each year.
Suicide is the third leading cause of death for 15-24 year olds in the U.S.
If you or someone you know is suicidal, please go to the Home Page of this website for immediate help.
Thank you.
I love you.
Take care,
Kevin Caruso
